About the Book

Madame De Rouleau was a despised woman. She lived on a street named after the dead. Her name epitomized evil in that neighborhood.

One day, a little boy (Joel Junior Gilbert) witnessed a theft in the neighborhood. As he was about to divulge the identity of the thief, Madame De Rouleau intervened. She prevented him from telling what happened.

Later, the boy would witness another theft. But this time, he decided not to divulge the identity of the thief. When his life was later spared by that thief, the boy realized that sometimes doing the right thing is not always the right thing to do.
